Install the Vyuh Diagram agent skill
vyuh_diagram_flutter ships an Agent Skills package that teaches coding agents how to use the current SDK correctly. It covers canvas setup, canonical controller edits, extensions, persistence, output, and revision-safe agent proposals.
The skill follows the open Agent Skills format. It works with Codex and other compatible coding agents supported by Dart's package:skills tool.
Install it in a Flutter project
Add vyuh_diagram_flutter as a direct dependency, resolve the project, then run:
sh
dart run skills@ get \
-p vyuh_diagram_flutter \
-s vyuh-diagram-flutter-integrationThe command reads the skill bundled with the resolved package version and copies it into the detected agent directory. For Codex and generic Agent Skills clients, that is normally:
text
.agents/skills/vyuh-diagram-flutter-integration/The installed directory includes the main SKILL.md and a focused reference for safe asynchronous agent or LLM edits.
Use it with an agent
Codex can select the skill automatically when a request matches its description. You can also invoke it explicitly:
text
$vyuh-diagram-flutter-integration add a custom review shape and persist itExample requests that should activate the skill include:
- “Mount an editable Vyuh Diagram canvas in this Flutter screen.”
- “Create and connect these shapes through
DiagramController.” - “Register an extension and its Flutter renderer.”
- “Accept an asynchronous LLM proposal without overwriting intervening edits.”
- “Export JSON and SVG from one revision-matched snapshot.”
The skill guides the coding agent; it does not give a runtime model access to a user's diagram. A product that embeds an LLM must still define its own tools, authentication, authorization and proposal-acceptance boundary. The verbs supply the edit schema: controller.verbs(ids) describes each verb's parameters and availability, and controller.edits.perform(ids, verb, args) accepts JSON-form arguments and an expectedRevision. See runtime agents and Controllers, agents and collaboration for those runtime contracts.
Keep the skill current
Run the same command after updating vyuh_diagram_flutter:
sh
dart run skills@ get \
-p vyuh_diagram_flutter \
-s vyuh-diagram-flutter-integrationThe tool compares the installed copy with the skill from the resolved package and offers the matching update. Use dart run skills@ list to inspect managed skills and dart run skills@ prune after removing dependencies.
If your team commits .agents/skills/, also commit .config/dart_skills/ so everyone shares the same installed versions and update tracking. If agent files are local-only, ignore both locations and let each developer install the skill.
When to use the text references
The package skill is concise and prescriptive. Use llms.txt when an agent can retrieve individual documentation pages, or llms-full.txt when a system requires one combined context file. Those references complement the skill; they are not required for ordinary Codex use after installation.
